Weigh-in will start at 1:00PM & end at 2:00PM - NO LATE ARRIVALS ACCEPTED

Team Entry Fee:

     $35.00 for members   - $45.00 for non-members  -  open to anyone     (Juniors are free)

Team Side Pots

Team Blind Bogey:  $20.00 per Team (Heaviest Limit + Lightest Limit divided by 2)

Team Big Trout: $20.00 per Team (single heaviest trout)

 

 

Pardee Team Derby Rules

1.  At the recommendation of the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and in the interest of maintaining a level playing field and avoiding possible conficts, the following amendments shall apply to this event:

     A.  All fish weighed in must be caught the day of the event.

     B.  All fish weighed in must show signs that they are freshly caught and not held from a previous outing.  Warm and faded fish will be withheld at the weigh master's discretion.

     C.  Respect what you catch.  Fish must display signs that they were properly prepared for weigh-in.  Keeping fish on ice is highly recommended.

     D.  All registered entrants must fish from a watercraft which is not anchored, tethered, or shored.  No fishing from the bank is allowed.  No jigging is allowed.

2.  It is the responsibility of each participant to know all the rules of this event.

3.  All California Department of Fish & Wildlife Regulations apply.

4.  All California Department of Boating and Waterways Rules & Regulations apply.

5.  Any person, capable of handling a fishing rod & reel, accompanying a registered participant in a boat must be registered in the event.  No ride alongs.

6.  Team Definition:  A team consist of one or more angles.  All team members must be in the same boat.  ONE team per boat.  ONE boat per team.

7.  Junior Participant Definition:  Any participant under the age of 16.  Any Junior participant may register as a Team member or in the Junior Division, but not both.

8.  In the even of a tie, the weigh of the largest single fish measured & weighed will determine the winner.  If a tie still occurs, the length of the single largest fish weighed & measured will determine the winner.

9.  All easurements are final once weigh masters accept measurements.  There will be NO re-weighs.  All weigh master decisions are final.

10.  Pre-fishing is allowed prior to the day of the even, however, no fishingis allowed prior to the event start time on the day of the event.

11.  You are not permitted to hold any fish with the intention of releasing it later for a larger fish.  As soon as a fish is caught, you must decide to keep it or release it.

12.  Absolutely NO transferring of fish between boasts, teams or participants.

13.  Professional fishing guides are certainly welcome to participate.  However, no professionally guided trips are allowed if registered in the event.

14.  Any persons conducting themselves in a disorderly manner at any time may be expelled from the event and can be denied entry to future events.

15.  Failure to comply with any of the rules will result in disqualification.

16.  Daily weigh-in limit:  Refer to event information flyer.

17.  Weigh-in will start at 1:00pm & end at 2:00pmNo late arrivals accepted.

18.  The tournament will officially begin at 6:00am

19.  In the interest of Sportsmanship and Fairness to all, and to promote the fun and family atmosphere of this event, the above may be amended on a single case basis at the discretion of the derby moderator.

COVID-19 Derby Rules

  • Communications

1. A copy of this protocol will be posted on the website: https://kokaneepower.org/

2. So that the Executive KP Team can have continuous contact, each Team Captain must register an e-mail address (unless you don’t have one) and a cell phone number so that the KP leadership can have direct contact.

3.  While on the water, each team should maintain radio communications and monitor channel 69.

  • To assure that Center for Disease Control protocols are followed:

1. It is the participant's responsibility to NOT PARTICIPATE in this event, if they are not feeling well the day before and the day of the derby.  Additionally, they SHALL NOT PARTICIPATE if they have been exposed to anyone with COVID-19 within the prior two weeks of the derby.  Any person that withdraws their participation (including the team) as a result of this protocol, will be entitled to a full refund of the derby fees.

2. Participants will maintain six feet of distance between each other.

3. Face masks shall be worn when ashore on the derby grounds.

4. The Team Captain will determine the use face masks aboard their boat.

Weigh-in Procedure

1. The Weigh Master and all staff assisting in the weighing process shall wear face masks while performing their tasks.

2. Only one person from each team will bring their catch to the weigh-in tables.

3.  A see-through barrier will be placed on the weigh-in table between the fisherperson and the weigh-in staff.

4.  Disinfectant spray, hand sanitizer & paper towels will be available at the weigh-in station.

5.  To guide the participants to the weigh table, special markings (cones or marked ropes) will be place to guide the team representatives step-by-step to the Weigh Master. 

6.  All weigh-in and derby rules are defined by the derby application and you MUST be in line by 2pm.

  1. A formal awards assembly will not be made
    1. Live results will be made available at https://kokaneepower.profishingtournaments.com 
    2. KP CFO will mail the prize money to the winners if they are not present at the time the winners are determined.
  1. Junior winners awards (to be determined) will be mailed to the participant.
  1. All results will be eligible and applied to the “Angler of the Year” award.
